The first burn is the most important.
When you light your candle for the first time, be sure to wait until the wax has melted evenly over the entire surface of the candle. By making sure that the entire surface has melted before you extinguish your candle, you will prevent tunnels from forming and help your candle last longer.
Burn your candle for 3 to 4 hours in a row.
Even if you want to burn your candle all day, so that it lasts as long as possible (40 to 50 hours), be careful not to burn it for more than 3 to 4 hours in a row. However, if you choose to have it burn longer than that per session, it means you will have to purchase a new candle a little earlier.
Trim your wicks.
Before relighting your candle. candle, be sure to cut the wick to a quarter of an inch to ensure that the burn is as smooth as possible.
Be careful!
I'm sure you know the procedure. Do not leave your candle unattended and keep it away from young children and pets. It might sound like common sense, but as a firefighter I would feel bad if I didn't mention it !
